I'm Jill Brown, founder of My Power Resume, offering you the best of my 20+ years of experience working in human resources, recruiting, marketing, communications and regulatory compliance. Once responsible for staffing and recruiting for one of the nation's largest airlines, I have reviewed tens of thousands of resumes and cover letters and have conducted more telephone and personal interviews than it is possible to count. Way back when... I became certified by Development Dimensions International to teach other recruiters the behavior-based interview technique known as Targeted Selection which is still in use today.
Having been called upon by friends and associates to review and critique resumes for years, I often thought of going into business for myself. But I never wanted to gouge the people who looked to me for assistance, so my business vision included helping others achieve their dreams and personal goals and do it at an affordable price. I also wanted to build relationships rather than process transactions - therefore, I developed my "fair pricing, never say good-bye" service approach.
In the process of developing My Power Resume in 2004, I faced the usual challenges of launching a business and through those experiences, I formulated my expression "Stop Trying and Start Succeeding." Known for having a no-nonsense approach to business and a keen ability to "keep it real," I look forward to helping you Stop Trying and #StartSucceeding

When I Grow Up? - Airline pilot! I started flying at 15, had my first solo at age 16, and earned a Private Pilot Certificate with and Instrument Rating What the heck happened? never got over motion sickness - now a really great passenger (usually)

Why I do this: I truly love connecting with people, finding out what's important to their growth, and crafting a custom document that boosts their confidence and accelerates success
Why unlimited lifetime updates: when I first started My POWER Resume so many people came to me because their resume was way out of date (many still do!) and I thought if I keep the resume updated with career changes and new educational accomplishments, etc., my clients will never be in that position again
Best thing about this - I've never paid for advertising and 99% of my clients are referrals from other clients - literally makes my day
